A repeatable way to compare results
- Use the same full date and conversion direction in each tool.
- Test a normal date, a month-end date, a Nepali New Year boundary and an AD leap day.
- Convert each result back to the original calendar. A round-trip match is useful but is not independent proof of accuracy.
- Compare against a dated calendar or the issuing authority’s original record.
- Try invalid inputs and confirm the tool explains the error rather than silently changing the date.

Dates for passports, visas and certificates
Online results are a checking aid. Confirm the required calendar and date format with the receiving authority. Do not calculate BS dates by simply adding 56 or 57 years; month lengths and year boundaries differ.

For an occasional conversion, use a clearly labelled form. For repeated work, look for copyable ISO dates and documented range limits. For historical research, prioritize a cited calendar source and test boundary dates carefully.
