Calendar method and checking a result
Bikram Sambat months have variable lengths: conversion requires a calendar table, not adding a fixed number of years. This site uses the Nepali date conversion library. Convert a date in both directions to check that you recover the starting value; also check the original document for official applications. Dates outside the supported table may be unavailable.
For birth certificates, passport and visa forms, copy the full year, month and day and confirm which calendar the form requires. Age is a calendar difference, not a determination of legal eligibility.
Calculate age from a Nepali or English birth date

BS and AD birth dates
Nepali dates are converted through a calendar table before the age difference is calculated. BS months vary in length, so an approximate year offset is not enough. You can check a date with the Nepali date converter.
Using an age result
This is a general date utility. It does not determine eligibility for a job, examination, benefit or other legal requirement. Check the original birth record and the relevant organisation’s reference date for official use.
